DAY 1: Huaraz – Pocpa (3450m) - Cuartelhuain (4170m)
In the morning we will pick up you at your hotel with our private transportation to drive south Huaraz on the paved way until chiquian town, then we will continue driving until reach cuartelhuain camping spot on the way we will pass Llamac– pocpa villages, the last one is gateway of Cordillera Huayhuash, at the camp site we will meet with the rest of the expedition team the donkey-driver and his donkeys, who will carry our trek equipment for the next two weeks, as soon as we arrive the camp we will have the first view of summits: rondoy, ninashanca & hirishanca. Overnight camp at cuartelhuain. Meals: S / L / D

DAY 2: Cuartelhuain - Cacananpunta Pass (4690m) – jancapampa (4230m)

This day the trail climb up on a gradual grassy ascend then start Zigzagging steadily upwards over rocky and loose terrain, becomes steep in a final hill to reach the rocky Cacanan punta Pass oft windy spot (4690m), over it we enjoy the impressive view of the each valleys in front & behind, there will be a great opportunity to observe majestic condors soaring over the pass, Then we descend on loose gravel rock trail on colorful quebrada caliente, with great view of several summits opening out before us, Our path descends to settlement of Janca, where is the camp just below of mounts: Shirishanca and ninashanca. DAY 3: mitucocha - Carhuac Pass (4640m) - Lake Carhuacocha (4100m)
Today trek is on gently grade walk up almost flat terrain until Punta Carhuac pass at (4640m), the pass offer tremendous view of the highest summits of Huayhuash such as: imposing Yerupaja (6617m), the famous peak of Siula Grande (6344m), & shirishanca very well-known as humming bird pick, after that the trail drop toward the lake Carhuacocha greeted by huge peaks, as soon as we reach the hill to turn to the east the long emerald green Laguna Carhuacocha comes into view, all huge resplendent peaks dominating the skyline to the west – while near the lakeside an idyllic camp site awaits, with overwhelming view the summits are absolutely jaw dropping Overnight camp at Lake Carhuacocha. DAY 4: Carhuacocha - Siula Pass (4834m) - Huayhuash (4345m)
For this day we offer two trekking routes: There is one route that takes via Carnicero pass (4600m), which is suitable for people, who do not have a good shape or who feel a little bit tired, whereas the other one is more demanding and challenging, but worthwhile, over the Siula pass, where the mountain scape is absolutely astonishing with tremendous view of overlooking spot about sparkling three glacier lakes back dropped by superlative mountain scenery, jugged peaks towering, where the enjoyment is unique. As soon as we approach the pass the cordillera raura to the south comes into the view then we will continue walking over the peat lands until our next camp. Besides on the way, we usually meet or see local shepherds Grazing their sheep or Cows in high valleys, and that green lush valleys are home to herds of vicuna, a wild cousin of the alpaca and llama. DAY 5: Huayhuash - Portachuelo Pass (4750m) – Viconga (4425m)
We start walking up the valley heading south towards the spectacular pass of Portachuelo de Huayhuash, the photogenic pyramid of rock and ice face of mount trapecio is constant companion for the climb to the pass, over the pass we will spend short time to enjoy the view of the Cordillera Raura, the trail drops steadily passing the largest Lake Viconga until lovely viconga camp steaming hot spring. In the afternoon we will be able to enjoy taking bath & swimming in three thermal pools there is genuinely hot, only asbestos skin can tolerate the smaller one. Overnight camp at viconga. DAY 6: Viconga – Cuyoc Pass (5000m) – Guanacpatay (4350m)
This day we will hike to the highest pass on our trek, After 5 days hiking above 4000m, your body is now well acclimatized to cross the Punta cuyoc pass, with rapturous view of mount cuyoc & puscanturpa to the trail ahead, From the pass the glacier cuyoc seems almost close enough to touch, where we will be rewarded with dazzling, and panorama view to north cordillera huayhuash to the south cordillera Raura, the descent is on gravel & stony surface trail but lower down eases as we cross the alpine meadow to a camp site with views of the dramatic north-west face of nevado cuyoc and puscanturpa head of guanacpatay valley. DAY 7: Guanacpatay - Huayllapa (3600m)– Huatiac 4350m

This day is hard after having breakfast we will walk down until reach the calinca valley the path drops on several switchbacks until flat bottom valley, then we follow walking down along the calinca valley until reach small isolated mountain village of Huayllapa. In the afternoon we walk upon moderate grade and steep trail until Huatiac campsite at 4350m, which is located on high grazing meadow under the shadow of mount Diablo mudo “dumb devil”. Overnight camp at huatiac. Meals: B / S / L / D

DAY 8: Huatiac - Punta Tapush Pass (4750m) – yahuacha pas (4850m) – jahuacocha (4045m)

Perhaps the most challenging day as we cross two passes, After our breakfast we start walk up on several switchbacks then on gradual ascent until reach punta tapush pass over 4750m with an impressive mountains view, then the trail descend to Ancosh valley, After lunch we continue walking up continuously toward next pass punta yaucha the trail winds upon several switchbacks, as soon as we reach the pass again the superb mountain scape comes into view, the walking route heads off on faint path traversing to the north, then climbs to reach the high point, there offer one of the best panorama vista of the trek, the path continues northward along the ridge to cerro huacrish (outstanding view point) along it clicking impressive pictures never is not enough. Descending from it feels like you are falling off the end of the earth with the ambrosial view, descent directly to jahuacocha traversing across the slope straight down almost vertical descent but makes for a rapid journey to another gorgeous camping spot at the lakeside of jahuacocha. DAY 9: Rest Day or day off
Option 01: make a half day hike to solteracocha at foot summits of: shirishanca & yerupaja, nearby the glacier.

Option02: simple take day off or rest day at campsite enjoyment the natural beauty, the view is truly awesome with tremendous view of majestic mount shirishanca & yerupaja.

Last night camp at Lake Jahuacocha. Meals: B / S / L / D

DAY 10: Jahuacocha - Pampa Llamac (4270m) - Llamac - Huaraz
After early breakfast and completing successfully our Andean circuit we will walk down on pleasant grass valley, then we walk up on the gradual ascend trail through quenual and bromeliads until reach high point of Pampa Llamac pass at 4270m, where we will rest for taking last pictures, after that we will descend dropping on slope trail until Llamac Village, where our private transportation is waiting us to comeback Huaraz FINISH OUR TREK. DAY 11: day off (huaraz) preparation for pisco (expenses at your own)

DAY 12: Huaraz - Cebollapampa - Pisco Base Camp (4650m)/15,252 ft.
After your breakfast we will pick up you at your hotel to drive to the north of callejon de huaylas Valley until reach Yungay, from where the road winds up toward east, into narrow llanganuco valley, the road pass close two beautiful glacial lakes with turquoise waters until yurac coral at 3900m; from this place we will have support of donkeys and donkey drivers, who are going to load our climbing gear until base camp and while we will climb up on a good trail until reach the base camp at 4650m. Overnight at pisco base camp. Meal: S / L / D

DAY 13: attempt pisco summit at (5752m)/18,866ft - base camp
Summit day: We as usually leave very early from the base camp around 1:00 am, because we must climb upon the rocky section or moraine until reach the beginning of glacier as soon as we reach it we put on our climbing gear as crampons, harness & we rope up. Then we climb upon until reach the west ridge with not too steep route, there are occasionally some steep sections, as hard ice at the beginning. this route is not too difficult or technical, however can be challenge with the altitude, but the views from the summit is impressive and superb around it, where we will be able to shoot the most stunning and panoramic pictures, especially towards Chacraraju, where we will see a huge and sharp snow wall is fluting o the south face, where the enjoymet is unique for the climber. After spending few minutes on the summit, we will retrace on the same route until base Camp. Last night at base camp. Meal: B / S / L / D

DAY 14: Base Camp – Cebollapampa - Huaraz
On our last day after our breakfast we will walk down until Cebolla Pampa, where our private transportation is waiting us to bring Huaraz Finish Our Climb. Back to Huaraz for a nice shower in the hotel and some rest; enjoy a good dinner celebrating in y the town after climbing success. Overnight at hotel. Meal: B / S / L

  • Climbing Boots: need to be crampon-compatible. For most easy climbs up to over 5200 meters, a lightweight mountaineering boot (B2) is more than adequate Well-insulated single leather or synthetic mountaineering boots.
  • Walking boot or hiking shoes: These are the boots you will wear on the trek over high passes, then you'll need a couple shoes of handling a bit of slippery snow and very rough and rocky trails. For example a B0 or B1 ankle-high boot.

  • A couple of fast drying base-layer tops (made of synthetic material is preferable instead of cotton or wool t-shirt) (whatever material can be long sleeve is advisable)
  • Mid – layer (mid weight fleece or a synthetic insulation jacket (e.g primaloft) as well as full of thermal underwear to wear in the evening.
  • Wear light/medium - weight trousers that allow the free movement and will dry quickly.

  • On most expeditions in base camps we can supply you with a small bowl of warm washing water in the morning and afternoon.
  • A small synthetic hand towel (wash clothes) is useful for taking a sponge bath, toilet paper.
