Day 1: Huaraz - Hualcayan Village (3140m)
After your breakfast we will pick up you at your hotel to drive to the north of callejon de huaylas Valley until reach caraz, then we follow driving until colcas on paver way, from where the road winds up toward east, ascending on several switchbacks until reach hualcayan village, where we will meet with our donkey drivers and donkeys, in the afternoon we can walk in to the village.

Day 2: Hualcayan – Wishcash (4300m)

After our breakfast we will walk upon steep hill but the trail winds up on several switchbacks observing spectacular view to the hualcayan village, where the arable field looks like mosaic, most of it are sown by Andean products. The camping spot offer terrific views west across the Callejón de Huaylas to the Cordillera Negra, further the fantastic view of sunset on cordillera negra is unique.

Day 3: Wishcash - Punta Cullicocha Pass (4850m) – Osoruri (4450m)
This day we will climb upon moderate grade trail until reach the spectacular azure lake of Cullicocha with panorama view to mount Santa Cruz rising steeply at the opposite end of the lake, after resting & clicking awesome pictures we follow walking up on steep sections, however the trail winds up on switchbacks toward our first high pass to punta cillicocha (4850m), where the mountain scape is really exiting with huge summits & cliffs valleys to the north, then we will descent on slope and rocky trail until our next camp.
Overnight camp at osoruri/ Meal: B /S / L / D

Day 4: Osoruri - Vientonan Pass (4750m) - Jancarurish (4250m)
After our hearty breakfast we start walking up on steep hill but the trail winds up on several switchbacks until vientonan pass (4750m), then we will descend on gentle grade down, where mount pilanco dominate the scene to the north, before embarking on a long switch-back descent to the depths of the Quebrada los Cedros valley. We pass the terraced fields surrounding the thatch-roofed, as soon as we reach the cedros valley we keep going on lovely green lush valley observing on the way some ruined structures and ancient standing stones. Eventually, the spectacular pyramid form of Alpamayo (5,947 m / 19,515 ft) comes into view to the southeast at the middle of the valley, which view is constantly until reach the camping spot.

DAY 5: Rest Day or day off.

Option 01: hike to Laguna Jancarurish or explore a view point which is lies on a hill southern of camping spot (it’s a grass plateau on steep hill with splendid vista) for appreciating the photogenic view of mount Alpamayo, which has been considered the most beautiful mountain in the world since 1966 in Munich Germany by “Alpinism Magazine” and this beauty draws climbers from far away, it is deadly beauty.

Option 02: simple take a relax day at the camp site enjoying the photogenic view of mount alpamayo

Overnight camp at jancarurish /Meal: B /S / L / D

Day 6: Jancarurish - Cara Cara Pass (4830m) - Mesapata Pass (4500m)- Huillca (4000m)
This day we will cross two passes, can be the most strenuous day of the trek, first crossing the los cedros river then climb up steadily until reach windy Cara Cara pass (4830m), the panorama that awaits at the top should turn luck-of-oxygen gasps into the gasps of amazement, the views remain stunning all the way up to the pass, On the pass we will be on continental divide; where all rivers running west head for the Pacific and those running east drain to Atlantic, via the Amazon, then we descent to climb up again to next pass slightly lower than first one, then the path droops in to quebrada tayapampa until reach the remote mountain valley of huilca. Overnight camp at huillca Meal: B /S / L / D

DAY 7: huillca – Yanacon pass (4600m) – jancapampa (3600m)
This day is imposed by yanacon pass, alpacas presence are abundant in this area the pass is close up views of pucajircas ice and folded rock strata, the view is gorgeous after some rest for shooting panorama memories or eating our snack, then we will descend until our next camp at jancapampa, the first part will be a short descent on steep scree then we walk on green lush valley flanked by quenual forest. At the camping spot in the afternoon usually some Quechua families come to offer their products as beverages (soda or beer), we can buy as a symbol of friendship, which is a way to make money for them. DAY 8: Jancapampa - TupaTupa Pass (4400M) - Huecrucocha (4000m)
This day we pass through several remote Andean communities, where we will be able to watch some people grazing their livestock, adobe houses, & cultivated fields, we will keep walking up gradually, then more steeply until reach Tupa-tupa Pass (4400m) from it we’ll enjoy the views of Pucajirca/Rinrijirca massif to the west, after that we will descend to our next camp at lakeside of laguna huecrococha. Overnight camp at huecrucocha. Meal: B /S / L / D

DAY 9: Huecrucocha - Alto de Puraju (4650m) - tuctu – paria (3800m).

this day we will ascend up until Alto de Pucaraju pass, at the begin on gentle traverse of the steep, at the valley head the trail winds up on several switchbacks until reach the pass, over it to be sure the view is superb with imposing of majestic Taulliraju, group of pukajircas, artezonraju and chacraraju, after that we will drop on rocky trail until tuctu grass plateau, after that we will keep walking down until paria camping spot on green lush paria valley. Day 10: Paria – Paria – Vaquería (3700m) – Yungay – Huaraz
This day can be easy day at the first we walk down on wide meadow and flat green lush valley with some sections of quenual & quisuar forest, whose lovely twisted trunks with their orange bark the trail is almost easy until reach huaripampa village, where we will have the opportunity to meet with friendly & sociable Quechua residents including children (this day is a good day to give, if you bring some gifts or present for children such as: pen, pencil, sharpener, crayons, paints, erasers, rulers, notebooks or another things, which things are adequate for students, because most of kids are quite poor, they will feel absolutely happy after receiving that things. then we will follow hiking until reach vaqueria settlement. Finish our trek. Where our private transportation await us to bring Huaraz, on the road we will pass on Portachuelo pass, where the view is really gorgeous to click spectacular pictures about superb mountain scape with tremendous view of majestic view of: mount Huascarán, Huandoy, Pisco, crossing the cordillera blanca from east to west, the great view of car road drops on many loops until the bottom of Llanganuco valley, follow driving over it.   • Walking boot or hiking shoes: These are the boots you will wear on the trek over high passes, then you'll need a couple shoes of handling a bit of slippery snow and very rough and rocky trails. For example a B0 or B1 ankle-high boot.
  • For multiday treks is advisable a pair of sandals to wear around camp instead of sneakers
  • A couple of fast drying base-layer tops (made of synthetic material is preferable instead of cotton or wool t-shirt) (whatever material can be long sleeve is advisable)
  • Mid – layer (mid weight fleece or a synthetic insulation jacket (e.g primaloft) as well as full of thermal underwear to wear in the evening.
  • Wear light/medium - weight trousers that allow the free movement and will dry quickly.
  • Down jacket is nice or a micro –down jacket
  • A woolly hat and thermal gloves ( a pair polar Tec)
  • A light weight waterproof jacket shell proof ( gore - tex)
  • A light weight waterproof pants or over-trouser (Gore - Tex) are recommendable.
