Is recommendable have yellow fiber vaccination (malaria) because you will walk on the jungle eyebrow. We never hear news about problems with malaria in this zone but are better to be prepared

ITINERARY
TREK PROGRAM CUSCO – TREK SALCANTAY - MACCHUPICCHU – CUSCO 5 DAYSIncluded meals: B = Breakfast / S = Snack / L = lunch / D = Dinner
DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA 2860 M – SORAYPAMPA (3800 M)
You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at around 4.30 a.m. and once all clients have been collected we will depart at around 5.00 a.m. with our private transportation. A beautiful 3-hour scenic journey through Izcuchaca and Limatambo, We can enjoy the spectacular view of Vilcabamba range, the colorful village of Mollepata, as soon as arriving in Mollepata around 8.00 a.m. we will have breakfast, after breakfast we follow driving an more hour until challa cancha begin of the trek at 3,800 m, where we meet our Arrieros “horsemen” and trekking staff (Cook and Assistants). We start the trek with a gradual climb up about two and a half hours through an amazing Andean valley until reach Soraypampa. There we will have lunch, after the lunch we will have the option to visit the Humantay Lake at 4220m (optional hike) the hike there will take around 3 hours’ round hike up & down, then once we will arrive at the camping spot, we will have dinner. Overnight at soraypampa camping spot. Meal: S / L / D
DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALCANTAY PASS AT 4650 M – CHAULLAY 2900 M
This day after our breakfast at 6.30 a.m. we will walking toward salcantaypampa and then hike up for 4 hours until reach Salkantay pass at 4650m. From this point we will appreciate spectacular mountain scape with superb view of Cusco’s second highest peak, the stunning peak of Salkantay (6,271 m) & even mounts of Humantay & Huayanay, green valleys, pristine glacier lakes. Then we start descending for around two and half hours toward Huayrac-Pampa where we will have a tasty lunch, after that we continue with our hiking down toward the next camp 8 km that will take around three hours and a half until the camping spot. This part of the trek is surrounded by jungle eyebrow. Walking length from 20 - 22 km total / 10 hours walk. overnight at chaullay. Meal: B / S / L / D
DAY 3: CHAULLAY – PLAYA SAHUYACO 2000 M – SANTA TERESA 1550 M
This morning we will have breakfast at 6.00 a.m. and after we start walking for around five and a half hours through jungle “Forest Cloudy Brow”. In this area we can observe and appreciate the coffee, orchid cloud forest plantations and many natural plants used for natural medicines, waterfalls, fruit - bearing trees, varied flora, and birds can be observed as well. We will stop at Playa Sahuayaco, where we will have lunch, after it we will take a local bus, which is included, to Santa Teresa our next camping spot. Here we have the option to visit the hot spring, located in Cocalmayo (Santa Teresa), which is not included in the package. We will return to our campsite at 6.00 p.m. to have later dinner around 7 pm. CHAULLAY – PLAYA (14 KM in total / 5 – 6 hours trek). Overnight at santa teresa. Meal: B /S / L / D
DAY 4: SANTA TERESA – HIDROELECTRICA 1790 M – AGUAS CALIENTES 2070 M
Today after the breakfast around 7:30 am we start walking toward Hydroelectric where we will have lunch in a nice restaurant. (There is an option for those feel tired take a local transportation for 15 soles from santa Teresa – hydroelectric to have lunch with the group) After lunch we will follow our hike toward aguas calientes through the tropical zone, palm trees are abundant, with the urubamba river to one side and train road to the other, you walk for two and half more hours from hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). As soon as Arriving at Aguas Calientes you will check in to your hotel with comfortable beds, hot shower and Wi-Fi and if time permits you can visit the hot spring of Aguas Calientes (entrance: 10 Soles per each one), then shop & make your snacks for the next day and relax. In the evening you will meet at a restaurant for dinner and your guide will give all the information about the next day as well as your Machu Picchu and train tickets. Be sure to charge your camera and/or smartphone for your visit to Machu Picchu! Santa teresa – Aguascalientes / 22 KM in total / 6 – 7 hours trek). Overnight at aguas calientes. Meal: B / L / D
DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES–MACCHUPICHU 2490 M – AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
This last day will start at 5am and after breakfast short hike up around an hour and half or take a travel by bus shared service around 25 minutes for ($12usd) to Machu picchu archaeological site whatever option is available, one hour is escorted by our guide to this amazing complex, leisure time to explorer on your own around 2 hours visit to The great hike to Huayna Picchu, sun gate, or moon temple. Generally at 1pm visitors return & start hiking down or by tourist bus to Aguas Calientes, to have your lunch (OPTIONAL) after the lunch around . 16:00 hrs we take our return train to Ollantaytambo with bus connection arriving to Cusco around 8:00 pm. overnight at cusco. Meal: B / S /
Please the cost of bus service is not included in our service for aguas calientes – macchupicchu – aguas calientes , if you decide take that service will be your own expenses and please you should wait to meet with the guide at the gate of archaeological site.

CLOTHING
- Hiking shoes: These are the boots you will wear to approach to base camp. For example a B0 is advisable.
- Socks: We recommend you bring 2 changes of socks for your hiking shoes and 2 changes for your climbing boots. Many people like to wear a thin liner sock. This can reduce abrasion and blisters
- Lightweight Synthetic gloves a pair of polar - tec
- Sun hat: Or baseball cap with bandanna safety pinned to it to keep the sun off your face and neck
- Balaclava or Neck gaiters: Wool or synthetic, mid-weight, the neck gaiter is more versatile, and can serve as the ear band just only one of them.
- Light weight cotton or synthetic pants / trouser: for hiking in the mountains
- A couple of fast drying base-layer tops (whatever material can be long sleeve is advisable)
- Wear light/medium - weight trousers that allow the free movement and will dry quickly
- Fleece jacket (polar Tec):
