It is strongly recommended to book your Inca Trail at least 6 - 7 months in advance as permits can quickly sell out.
PORTER SERVICE to carry is allowed at Inca trail up to 20Kg maximum included their personal items (the porter wage = $380 USD ($75 USD per day) for the full duration of the tour from Cusco to Aguas Calientes. That is the reason you should collet 5 kilograms per participant for the porter included your sleeping bag & personal items - your extra weight you must to carry in your personal back pack included your Camera, bottle of water, snacks, a fleece or something warm and a poncho in case of rain water proof jacket & pant (unlikely in dry season but as a precaution) and anything you will need before lunch as porters do not walk alongside you. Your bag will be waiting for you in your tent at next campsites.
Note: the limit of trekking luggage weight is maximum 5 kilos per person so try to under pack rather than over pack because you will load your personal backpack.
SUGGESTION: please understand before trekking Inca trail 4 days you should complete a good acclimatization process to avoid altitude sickness, let us know to give you a suitable advice.

Is recommendable have yellow fiber vaccination (malaria) because you will walk on the jungle eyebrow. We never hear news about problems with malaria in this zone but are better to be prepared

ITINERARY
TREK PROGRAM CUSCO – CLASSIC INCA TRAIL - MACCHUPICCHU – CUSCO 4 DAYSIncluded meals: B = Breakfast / L = lunch / D = Dinner
DAY 1: CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO - KM 82 - LLAQTAPATA – WAYLLABAMBA 3800 M
Around 5:30AM the travelers will be collected for their hotels in downtown – Cusco. Then we transfer by private transportation through Andean village of Chincheros, Ollantaytambo, Urubamba and finally Chilca. The tour guide will recommend stopping at Ollantaytambo to have breakfast (no included in the trek price USD $ 5). After 3 hours driving we arrive to kilometer 82, where start the trail head of the famous Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Before to start the hike the hiker will make the check in at the control point, this is the place to check everything before to start the hiking. The trail takes us to the first Inca ruins as Huillca Raccay, this offer spectacular view of Urubamba valley and the Cusi Chacca River. The trekking includes break stop for pictures and relaxing according your felling. Continue hiking on the left bank of Urubamba River the hiker will be awarded with spectacular views of Veronica Mountain, this is considerate one of the highest mountain with 5870 m on the Urubamba (Urubamba Mountain range). After 3 hours of hike you will enjoy the lunch near of Llaqtapata ruins and surrounded by pure nature and amazing views and of course guided visit of the ruins. 3 more hours uphill and following the ancient path by the left bank of the river (around 7 kilometers) the hikers will arrived to the little village of Wayllabamba, where is the camping spot. Length = 12 km / time = 6 hours. Overnight camp at wayllabamba. Meal: L / D
DAY 2: WAYLLABAMBA - ABRA WARMY WAÑUSCA - PAQAYMAYO 3800 M
After breakfast we start walking following the ancient path along the left bank of the Lluyuchayoc River. Today we recommend to hike very slow and take your time because is the hardest day to climb up the pass. After 1 or 2 hours arrive to Tres Piedras, there is small bridge to be crossed named Wayruro and there the hiker will stop for break and use the toilets facilities before to continue going up through cloud forest. Uphill hike for around 3 or 4 hours depending your physical condition but observing spectacular views of Lluyucha Pampa. Continuing hiking up through the amazing landscape until reach the first highest pass of the Inca trail, Abra Huarmy Wañusca” (4200M). The final part of the uphill trail will be the hardest because the altitude, take rest, to make pictures and if weather permit seeing spectacular scenes of uphill trail where some people still are making the effort to reach top. After that we start descending toward second campsite at Paqaymayo valley 3600 m. Length = 12 km / time = 6 hours. overnight at paqaymayo. Meal: B / L / D
DAY 3: PAQAYMAYO - RUNKURACAY - PUYUPATAMARCA - WYÑAY WAYNA 3700 M
Today the hiker will have breakfast at 7AM after that we will start hiking up toward archaeological site as Runkuracay. This circular complex is located on the top of a mountain and between the border of the Andean climate and the cloud forest. To reach these ruins the trail climbs steeply up the opposite side of the valley towards the second pass. After the guided tour of Runkuracay we follow the trail leads us to the second larger Inca ruins as known Sayaqmarca. On the way to the ruins we will pass through two small beautiful lagoons next of the trail. After Sayaqmarca the trail winds through jungle with orchids and bromeliads, & along ridge above Urubamba River to Puyupatamarca. With stunning views of Salcantay, Veronica, and Pumasillo. Puyupatamarca offer spectacular place to have lunch seeing the surrounded mountains. From Puyupatamarca descends via steep staircase to Wiñay Wayna is an Inca complex neighbor to Machu Picchu. After exploring the ruins we go to the campsite, there is a little hostel and restaurant where you can purchase some drinks available. Wiñay Wayna is the last campsite before to enter to Machu Picchu. Length = 15 km / time = 7 hours. Overnight at wyñay wayna. Meal: B / L / D
DAY 4: WYÑAY WAYNA - SUN GATE - MACHU PICCHU 2490 M - AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
Today we will wake up very early, after our breakfast we will start walking toward the clearly market path to Inti Punku (Sun Gate). After one hour we will approach to the inti punku using more than 50 steps. Inti Punku or Sun Gate is entrance to the Incas city – macchu Picchu citadel, the complex can be seeing from Inti Punku. We can arrive there before sunrise and enjoy the first rays of the sun reaching Machu Pucchu. After crossing the stony door we will see the magnificent and beauty of Machu Picchu citadel, from where the visitors will be able to have an impressive panoramic view of the Inca Citadel. Upon arrival to Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour of the ruins and monuments, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Free time to explore by you own this impressive Citadel and then meet the rest of the group to be transferred by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). Around 4PM the hiker will aboard the train from Aguas Calientes town to Ollantaytambo then transferred to cusco. Overnight at cusco. Meal: B / L

- Hiking shoes: These are the boots you will wear to approach to base camp. For example a B0 is advisable.
- Socks: We recommend you bring 2 changes of socks for your hiking shoes and 2 changes for your climbing boots. Many people like to wear a thin liner sock. This can reduce abrasion and blisters
- Lightweight Synthetic gloves a pair of polar - tec
- Sun hat: Or baseball cap with bandanna safety pinned to it to keep the sun off your face and neck
- Balaclava or Neck gaiters: Wool or synthetic, mid-weight, the neck gaiter is more versatile, and can serve as the ear band.
