OVERVIEW
This spectacular sightseen is located on the left-side of Colca canyon, it’s considered a top tourist destination in Arequipa, and the viewpoint offers great view of the canyon and the impressive Andean Condor flying over Colca valley. The perfect time to enjoy the flying of this incredible bird considered as the biggest flying bird in the world is between 8AM - 10AM all year however in some days of the year it’s not possible to see because some mornings is cloudy.Luckily in a clear & sunny morning is possible to see lots Condors soaring over us very close, where the watchers are waiting anxiously the condor fly at viewpoint. During the top season between April to October there are a lots foreigners expecting to see the Condors.
The perfect time to observe the condors soaring over us at view point (Mirador Cruz Del Condor) is after 11AM because all tourists returns to Chivay/Arequipa/Puno and the viewpoint looks very quiet and peaceful

ITINERARY
CLIMB PROGRAM AREQUIPA – MIRADOR DE CONDOR – AREQUIPAIncluded meals: B = Breakfast / snack = S / lunch = L / D = Dinner
DAY 1: AREQUIPA – VALLE DE COLCA - CHIVAY
We will pick up you from your hotel around 7:30 am, then around 8: 00 am we start driving toward colca canyon, which is located to the north – east to arequipa on the way we will pass on beautiful landscape at panpa cañihuas where is located the national reserve of Salinas & aguada blanca there we will observe heard of vicuñas & alpacas around 10 – 15 minutes to take great memories, then we follow driving up until reach patapampa at 4800 m, known as (volcanoes view point ), after enjoying the spectacular panorama we start descending for an hour until chivay, as soon as we arrive chivay we go to the nice restaurant to have lunch to enjoy the great typical meals, then we go to the hotel to check in at the hotel with breakfast service. Around 3:00 pm the guide will pick up you to the hotel to take you to the calera hot spring that is optional (not mandatory). Calera hot spring: there are several swimming polls with temperature water of 35° C – 38° C, after that we back to the hotel. Then around 7:00 we will have dinner at nice restaurant. Overnight at chivay hotel. Meal: L / D
DAY 2: CHIVAY – MIRADOR CRUZ DE CONDOR – CHIVAY – AREQUIPA
This morning after the breakfast at 6:30 am, we will leave toward the viewpoint known as Cruz del Cóndor. During the trip we will appreciate spectacular views of the Colca canyon, agricultural terraces. Then after two hours driving we will arrive at the famous Cruz del Cóndor, As soon as we arrive to the view point we will enjoy one of the most scenic points, there we will spend around an hour to observe the deepest Canyon and the majestic condors flying. Then, we will back on the same route stopping several times along the way in country sides as: (pinchollo, maca & yanque, where there are beautiful colonial churches) around 12:30 pm we will arrive to chivay then we will go visit the hot spring (that is optional), where we will have time to have tasty lunch in Chivay. After the lunch we will back to arequipa stopping in superb viewpoint at Reserve National of Salinas & Aguada Blanca. Finally arriving in Arequipa around 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. overnight at Arequipa hotel. Meal: B / L

- Hiking shoes: For example a B0 is advisable.
- A fast drying base-layer tops : (whatever material can be long sleeve is advisable)
- Mid – layer : (mid weight fleece or a synthetic insulation jacket (e.g primaloft)
- Down jacket is nice or a micro –down jacket (optional)
- A woolly hat and thermal gloves ( polar Tec)
- A light weight waterproof jacket, pants or over-trouser (Gore - Tex) are recommendable.
- Wind proof waist coat, jacket (optional)
- Short pants

- Good quality hiking sock (liner sock can be to reduce abrasion and blister.
- Wear light/medium weight trousers that allow the free movement and will dry quickly
- A good sun hat or synthetic is essential

- Good quality sun cream for using around the camp

Have loperamide is a good idea in case you get the runs - Antibiotic such as: ciprofloxacin or Bactrim for bacterial stomach bugs.
